Chelsea 1-1 Huddersfield: Blues Blow Chance For Top 4 Spot

Antonio Conte’s men were unable to find a secure a fourth place position as they couldn’t win against Huddersfield Town at the Stamford Bridge as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

The blues couldn’t convert a fantastic chance to break the deadlock as Antonio Rudiger in a way managed to throw away an open chance as he put the ball out wide from two yards away.

Chelsea further held possession of the ball as they dominated but we’re not able to hold Huddersfield from scoring the first goal of the game as Depoitre latched on to Moody’s lofted ball and made no mistake as he scored it in 50th minute after Caballero had spoilt his first attempt.

Midway through the second half, the Chelsea men were able to pull one back for the team as Marcos Alonso headed one in to make it a 1-1 draw in the 62nd minute.

Conte’s men worked hard to get a winner to remain in the path of achieving a top four spot but Huddersfield were able to hold on to their 1 goal draw as they needed to secure their top flight status for another year.

Now with Tottenham getting a win against Newcastle, Chelsea can only hope for Brighton to win against liverpool and they get a win away at Newcastle to snatch fourth place on the final day.
