Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp Confirms Squad For PSG Trip And Player Updates
Liverpool have been handed fitness boosts after Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp stated that Joe Gomez and Sadio Mane are in his 21 man squad to go head to head with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
Sadio Mane emerged as a shaky decision for the crucial Champions League group stage encounter against PSG on Wednesday night after being hit with illness in the lead up to the game. The Senegalese was able to be a part of their full training this afternoon at Melwood and Klopp has assured that that the attacker will be on the team to face Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
At Liverpool’s 3-0 victory at Watford Gomez wasn’t risked after picking up a minor knock in training last week but the defender was also available at training this afternoon and will travel with the 21 man squad to Paris ahead of Group C’s encounter at the Parc des Princes.
Although, there wasn’t a lot of positive result on Divock Origi and Kamil Grabara as they’ll bit be in the trip to Paris due to illness, Jurgen Klopp said to Liverpoolfc.com.
“I got a message yesterday that Divock, Sadio and Kamil were ill. They came in and we checked them again – Sadio trained today as normal and is available.”
“That’s [Gomez] all good. All the rest is like it was before.”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will surely miss out on tomorrow night as he continues to nurse and heal hus serious knee injury as Adam Lallana is also out on a muscle injury.
